Questions
How is a month counted? The way people count it: the same date in the following month. From 31 January to 28 February is one month, not 0.93 of one. Calculators that divide days by 30.4 disagree with how anyone actually speaks.
What about a 29 February birthday? In a common year the birthday is treated as falling on 1 March for the countdown, which is the usual convention.
How are leap years handled? A date of 29 February is counted on 28 February in non-leap years, which is the common civil convention.
