Why it works this way
Most PDF sites upload your document, process it on a server, and send a result back. That is a copy of your contract, invoice or ID sitting on someone else’s machine. We took the other route.
Nothing is uploaded
Every tool runs on your own device. Your files are never sent to a server, so they cannot be stored, read or leaked by us.

Questions
Are my files really not uploaded?
Really. Every tool on this site is written to run inside your browser using your own device’s processing. There is no upload step, so there is no copy of your document on any server of ours.
You do not have to take our word for it. Open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and use any tool — you will see no request carrying your file.
Is it free? What is the catch?
Every tool available today is free, with no daily caps, no watermarks and no file-size limits. The reason is simple rather than generous: work that runs in your browser costs us nothing to provide, however much you use it.
Charging for it would mean building accounts, quotas and payments in order to gate something that is free to run. So we don’t.
What will you charge for, then?
Work that carries a real cost per document — converting a PDF into an editable Word or Excel file, or running optical character recognition on a scan. Those need a commercial engine or a cloud service that bills per page.
Those features are listed openly but are not built yet, and there is nothing to buy.
Can I edit the text that is already in my PDF?
You can cover it and type over it, using the Whiteout tool in the editor. What no tool can reliably do is rewrite existing text in place and have the paragraph reflow around it.
A PDF does not store text the way a word processor does. It stores instructions for painting individual glyphs at fixed positions, using fonts that are usually embedded only in part — just the characters the document happens to use. There is no paragraph to reflow, and often no glyph available for a letter that was not already on the page. Tools claiming to edit PDF text directly are doing some version of cover-and-replace; we just say so.
Does it work offline?
Once a tool page has loaded, the work itself needs no connection — it is happening on your device. You will need to be online to load the page in the first place.
Which browsers are supported?
Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on desktop or mobile. Very large documents go faster on a desktop machine, simply because there is more memory to work with.
What happens to a password-protected PDF?
The tools will tell you the file is protected rather than failing silently or producing a broken result. Remove the password first, then come back.
Do you keep any of my data?
We have none to keep. There are no accounts, no uploads and no document storage. Nothing you open here is transmitted to us.
