Trim an image to the part you actually want, freehand or locked to a ratio.
How to use it
- Choose an image.
- Pick a ratio, or leave it free.
- Drag across the preview to select the area to keep.
- Select Crop, then download.
Questions
Does cropping reduce quality? No. The pixels you keep are unchanged; the rest are discarded. Saving as JPEG re-encodes them, so choose PNG if you need the pixels bit-for-bit identical.
What are the ratios for? Fixing a ratio keeps the selection at a set shape as you drag — useful for a square profile picture or a 16:9 banner where the target has a required shape.
