Image Cropper

Trim an image to the part you actually want, freehand or locked to a ratio.

How to use it

  1. Choose an image.
  2. Pick a ratio, or leave it free.
  3. Drag across the preview to select the area to keep.
  4. Select Crop, then download.

Questions

Does cropping reduce quality? No. The pixels you keep are unchanged; the rest are discarded. Saving as JPEG re-encodes them, so choose PNG if you need the pixels bit-for-bit identical.

What are the ratios for? Fixing a ratio keeps the selection at a set shape as you drag — useful for a square profile picture or a 16:9 banner where the target has a required shape.
