Questions
Why generate one locally? Because most free QR generators receive whatever you encode. People routinely put Wi-Fi passwords, private links and payment details into them. This one never transmits your data — and separately, some services generate a redirect through their own domain that stops working when they do.
What is error correction? Redundancy that lets a damaged or partly obscured code still scan. Higher correction survives more damage but leaves less room for data, so a long URL may need a lower level or a bigger code.
My code will not scan. Usually the quiet zone or the contrast. Keep the blank border, keep the foreground much darker than the background, and avoid inverting the colours — many scanners expect dark on light.
